2024 Mariposa & Visionary Awards

WomanHaven, A Center for Family Solutions, is proud to announce the call for nominations for the 2024  “Mariposa Lily and Visionary Awards.” We invite you to nominate a survivor of domestic violence for consideration as the Mariposa and Visionary Honorees. Individuals will be chosen and honored with the Mariposa Lily Award and the Visionary Award during our 7th Annual Mariposa Award Fundraiser Gala.

During their lifetime, many people are working to improve the lives of those who have been victims of domestic violence or have overcome domestic violence despite  extreme adversity. Some individuals make a difference in others by transforming adversity into triumph by creating positive change to end domestic violence in the County of Imperial. Others dedicate and make significant change by advocating for the lives of survivors, as well as change the landscape of domestic violence related systems in the County of Imperial. 

The Mariposa Lily and Visionary Awards are designed to honor those who have survived domestic violence and those who have made a significant impact in the Imperial Valley Community.

Previous award winners, immediate family and employees of WomanHaven are not eligible for the award. Immediate family is defined as parents, siblings or children (adoption, blood or marriage.) 

It is required for the permission of the nominee be given in writing, please have the nominee sign and date to grant the consent form, which will be located at the bottom of nomination packet.

Submit your nomination to outreach@womanhaven.org by July 1st, 2024.
